Frying Pan, Lake Eucumbene
Paul
Harvey and I ventured to the pan once again to be greeted by fair
weather. Hooray!!
So during the day polaroiding was the way to go. We did manage to see a
few nice fish though some were very spooky. However we did manage to
find some fish rising to beetles. Paul and I did have some luck landing
a few fish. All of these were browns. Paul caught a very nice brown on
a size 16 red tag which measured 580mm probably about 4 1/2 lbs. He
also caught another nice fish going 560mm it was probably heavier than
the first fish and in much better condition. I caught a few browns
weighing approx 2 lb and a very large rainbow managed to smash me up.
(see these fish in the Trout
Gallery)
During the evenings there wasn't a lot of action, for some reason only
accounting for a few small rainbows. In the coming few weeks with
warmer weather we should have better rises of an evening.
In all, not a bad trip, we caught some nice fish and we know there are
still a lot of good ones there.
